Tamasine dale is an artist and milliner based in melbourne, australia. She studied fashion design including millinery at the melbourne college of textiles and has a degree in fine arts from monash university. Her multidisciplinary practice has been enriched by her travels, which have allowed her to source the finest materials from around the globe. She collaborates with designers both locally and internationally drawing on her experiences and knowledge. When she is not travelling, tamasine works in her studio in country victoria or her city millinery workroom. She draws inspiration from the natural environment and finds a balance between her practice and nature. She has a deep appreciation for the creative process and explores form and function with the eye of a couturier. In keeping with the traditional craft of millinery, all of tamasine’s pieces are handmade by skilled artisans using the highest quality materials. She takes great care in manipulating fabric and paying attention to detail. Tamasine has been recognized as one of australia’s most talented and innovative milliners. Her work has been exhibited in galleries such as the victoria and albert museum in london and on international catwalks. Her pieces are also held in the collections of the national gallery of victoria, the centre for australian performing arts, and the powerhouse museum in sydney. Her designs have graced the covers of numerous publications including vogue, australia.
